Shopify's own banner is good — but a few pieces are missing

No. Banner Companion runs as a sandboxed Shopify Web Pixel, which by design has no access to your page's DOM or other scripts — it can't intercept, block, or modify theme scripts, custom pixels, or checkout scripts even if it wanted to. That's the whole point: no risk to your conversion tracking.

Every recorded consent decision — when it happened and which categories (analytics, marketing, etc.) the visitor allowed or declined — exportable as a download whenever you need to show a record of consent.

They're two different systems measuring two different things. The consent log records what a visitor agreed to, picked up the moment they responded through Shopify's own Web Pixel and Customer Privacy API. Google Analytics reporting depends on your Consent Mode / Google Tag Manager setup firing in the right order after that — if GA looks like it's undercounting, that's almost always a tag-sequencing issue on the Google side, not something wrong with the consent record itself. The audit log is the one place you can check what actually happened at the moment of consent, independent of how your analytics is configured.
